Having just ordered new carpets for Lochside Cottage and The Croft (from local business MG Carpets & Flooring) I started think about the changes we have made to the cottages over the years. Perhaps I should have held on to the 1970’s turquoise blue bathroom suite, it’s retro style might be back in fashion today!
Some changes are less obvious than others, for example, we had the plaster board removed from the bedroom wall in Hill View cottage a couple of years ago. This enabled us to increase the insulation in the walls to make the cottage warmer and less costly to heat. Our joiner put up new plasterboard and we got the rooms painted, all done within a few days.
